Lambert Associates, Inc. (LAI) is your complete computer
networking center. Over 13 years old, LAI initially focused on two area:
training others to become Certified NetWare Engineers (CNE) and
installing Local Area Networks (LAN). The training activities
were discontinued as the business evolved to include a wider span of
services.
Today, LAI's focus is on all areas of
network engineering. From design, to product sales,
security and installation, LAI provides total networking
solutions. Networks range from Personal Area Networks
(PAN), Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks, Metropolitan
Area Networks (MAN), and Virtual Private Networks
(VPN).

With over 30 years of computing experience.
Michael has been responsible for the design and
installation of over 2,200 networks, ranging from small (20 user),
single site LANs to large multi-site WAN's and
VPN's.

With over 30
years in the industry, Michael has worked on a wide variety of
platforms and systems, including Xerox, IBM, DEC, Apple, HP-Compaq, Plaintree, Cisco, and Sonicwall. Michael's
experience has included both traditional and non-traditional
networking, including Banyan VINES, IBM PC-LAN, OS/2, Linux/UNIX/XENIX, Microsoft
Windows (9X, NT, 2000, and XP), Citrix WinFrame and MetaFrame, and
Novell NetWare (2.1-6.5) on a variety of platforms and topologies
ranging from StarLAN, ArcNet, Token Ring (4, 16 and 25), and
Ethernet (10/100/1000 FT, TX) as well as wireless Ethernet
(802.11a/b/g), Bluetooth, and H.320 and H.323 video
protocols.
Michael has in-depth
experience in firewall design and implementation (software and
hardware) and content filtering, as well as DNS
design/implementation, NAT and PAT design/implementation and
security processing and analysis. His experience also includes
Web design, application migration to the Internet, and
firewall/content filtering system design and implementation.
His WAN experience encompasses asynchronous diaL-up, ISDN,
T-1, T-3, and ATM connectivity. His protocol experience
includes NFS, SNA/SAA, DECNET (LAT), IPX/SPX, AFP, and TCP/IP.
Michael has operating system experience with all Microsoft operating
systems, all Novell NetWare versions, IBM's AS/400 OS, and many
different flavors of Linux/UNIX.
A graduate of
the University of Vermont, and a native Vermonter, Michael's
philosophy is, "It doesn't work until I see it
work."
